T1 ? what it is all about ? 2007 range Windsurfing is one of ? if not the most ? fabulous sport on the planet (and, hell, do I love skiing, too!) and it is a very big part of my life. It?s just incredible to enjoy those overwhelming sensations when you go out on one of those perfect days ? be it on a wave board or ? depending conditions ? on any other gear. Windsurfing is pure connection with nature?s forces and elements freeing your mind from everything else. Period. Nothing else than a simple board and a rig provide an amazing array of sensations. Perfect. And, best of all, you don?t have to b a pro or even an exceptional athlete to experience all of that. Windsurfing is ? once the early struggle passed ? an easy, pleasant and healthy activity; definitely promoting peace of mind and well being. That is what pushed my partner Mark Thoms and myself to create our own brand: We?re Windsurfers, total aficionados. That is the T1 background Sure, there were other reasons: Being fed up with the ?all marketing ? no reason? way of the doing business in the industry was another major one. We strive to propose boards designed for all walks of windsurfers. We?re aware that a majority of our clientele has limited time available to spend on their favorite pastime ? they?re mostly ?regular? working people with a wealth of other obligations ? but they crave for a good time on the water after a strenuous workday or workweek. Our CrossX, WaveX and FastX board ranges are designed to provide instant benefit and fun on the water. They all shine with their wide range and ease of use.
Obviously we don?t forget the expert and professional sailors. Our RS and SR range covers the whole spectrum of slalom and speed oriented windsurfing. The 2007 models feature a very subtle, yet very elaborate shape concept: powerful and efficient, providing an exceptional smooth and controllable ride. The range includes boards from 54 to 79 cm wide, from 85 to 145 liters of volume. All conditions can be covered.
The new breed of SR speedboards will shortly complete our offer of speed oriented boards with 49 and 44 cm wide models. Very fast, yet very easy to sail and control they were unanimously welcomed by our experienced speed test team. Soon to come is an all new range of high performance waveboards ? developed over an extended period of time in my backyard, Maui?s North Shore, with the contribution of very experienced wavesailing aficionados. They are based on a whole new intellectual approach to waveboard shapes that does not translate into a wired, futuristic and eye catching impact but simply in unparalleled efficiency on the water. One of my custom board clients claimed ?my sailing has simply improved about ten fold. I can position and reposition myself easier and quicker than ever before, get more waves in all kind of conditions and I ride better than ever before?. A promising statement.
