Point7 AC-0 und Gaastra Mast ????

    Hallo


    Will für mein Point7 AC-0 5,6 einen Gaastra 75% Carbon 430 verwenden. Funzt das Problemlos.
    Außerdem verstehe ich nicht ganz warum der optimale Mast ein 400 sein soll, da brauch ich ja eine Mastverlängerung von 35cm !!?? Ist da nicht der 430 besser, mit minimaler Mastverlängerung ?


    Verwende übrigens grad einen 400 Mast mit 50% Carbon, mich nervt aber die lange Mastverlängerung; deswegen umstieg auf 430er Mast

    The reason why the ideal mast is a 400 is because a shorther mast is softer than a longer mast in its IMCS.
    So when we use a short mast and put it under tension, we get a very light feeling sail which is very reactive and light in sailing.
    By inserting a 430, the sail will maybe have a little more bottom-end power, but will feel a little heavier and stiffer in strong wind. I use the 5.6 myself in Malchesine with a 400 SRDM and that works perfectly.
    Once I also tried with the 430, because I had brought the wrong mast with me, and the I didnt like the feeling as much...
    By using long extensions, always make sure you have 12cm in the mast, then its fine. Streamlined are good

    So ich hab jetzt mal den Ratschlag von Dennis ausprobiert.
    Habe mir von einem Bekannten ein 430er Mast geliehen und mit meinem 400er im Ac-0 verglichen. Es ist echt unglaublich, was das für ein riesen Unterschied ist, hätte ich nicht gedacht. Es ist genauso wie Dennis es beschrieben hat. Mit dem 400er ist das Segel wesentlich leichter und angenehmer zu fahren, dann nehm ich doch lieber die längere Mastverlänerung in Kauf.
