Hi Thorsten,

We will send an e-mail with the link and additional information to all our members shortly but here you are for this moment.

To log in go to:

http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/gps.asp?mnu=admin&smnu=&act=user_add&uid=

People already part of our community know they have to log in first.

Then go to:

http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/gps.asp?mnu=events&smnu=info&val=15

On the left site at the bottom you will find a button which says subscribe.

It would be great if lots of German riders would participate.

Cheers,

Martin

Noch eine :):

One more thing Thorsten. We want to keep it a low profile race. So I can?t promise things in advance apart from the price money and the fact that Pascal Maka is the race director. So for now only the date is set. Perhaps we won?t have even tents or something else and it?s going to be just like said: a European Speed Meeting. Perhaps it?s going to be big and we will have tents, clinics, meals for the competitors, lycras and so on. I think we will succeed in having a bigger event because the industry realizes how important GPS is going to be in near future but we will have to wait and see. I just had a meeting with a professional organiser and we started things.

-The race will be cheap, not more than ? 50, 00 for the whole week and possibly less, depending on what we can offer riders.

Please make sure as much riders as possible pre-register for this event since that will be a big help to find sponsors and create a better organised event.

Thanks for co-operating and offering your assistance!

Best regards,

Martin

Hello to all,

GPS-speedsurfing.com invites you to join the first ESM. After having held a couple of national GPS Speed Meetings we thought the time is right for a European gathering of GPS speed addicts. The meeting will be held from September 9th until September 17th at stand Horst in Holland.

In September the sea grass level is the highest at strand Horst, Holland. The grass covers the bottom of the lake and kills nearly all the chop on nearly 10 square kilometres of the lake. You can sail with normal raked slalom fins up till 36cm. without any problem. The average depth of the speed part of the lake is around 1 metre. Speeds in excess of 44 knots have been set during this week in 2004, in the maximum speeds got up till 42 knots.

The race is aimed at sailors of all levels. You don?t need to be extremely fast or particularly experienced to participate in this event, but world class sailors are welcome to join the fun as well. Dutch riders might have to qualify for this event by competing in the USM, depending on the total amount of international riders competing in this first ESM. We will however try to allow as many riders as possible.

Pascal Maka will be our race director. Entry fees are not known just yet but we will try to keep them as low as possible. This is a first call to make sure everyone can make the appropriate arrangements. If you are interested to take part please follow the links shown below. First log in and then subscribe for the event. You will be updated through e-mail if you fill in the preliminary subscription form.
