Weymouth Speedweek 2007, neuer Sponsor!

  • The Weymouth Speed Week team are very pleased to announce a new overall title sponsor, DAKINE.

Graeme Fuller the managing Director of Surfsales the importer of Dakine said "We first became involved last year with Weymouth Speed week and even I entered as competitor, it is a great fun event that appeals to a wide range of water sports enthusiasts and fits very well with our brand. We are also the importers of Gaastra, Tabou and Exocet all of which have great speed pedigrees.

This year’s event sees major improvements for all competitors with new prototype timing equipment and the timing team from the International Speedsurfing Association. This means for the windsurfing competitors Weymouth Speed Week will be a counting event on the World ISA Series and the UKWA British Speed Championships.

We are over the moon to have Surfsales & Dakine as title sponsors; it has enabled us to keep the cost of entry down quite considerably. Graeme and his team are 100% behind the event. This year should be the most prestigious since its heyday in the 70’s when it was the Johnnie Walker Weymouth Speed Week. We are expecting a much larger foreign contingent as well as more kite surfers wanting to take Nigel Bowley’s record from last year.

Entry for 2007 is now open at www.speedsailing.com

    Kind Regards

    The Weymouth Speed Week Team
